INSEAD State of France 2013 Report "France: Why the Battle of Attractiveness is far from Being Lost"

The ever-increasing international mobility of production factors is one of the telltale signs of globalization. This is why the economic development of any territory today largely hinges of its ability to attract talent and productive investment. However, France seems to have lost some of its attractiveness over the last few years, falling behind in comparison to the relatively satisfactory state of affairs seen at the beginning of the 21st century. How can France make up the lost ground? This is the question that the 8th annual conference on the « Etats de la France » to be held in Paris at the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE) on 18 December 2013 will attempt to address.
