Most of us are familiar with the syndicated comic strip Calvin and Hobbes. It details the friendship between Calvin – the imaginative, intelligent but also egotistical, obnoxious, and short-tempered six-year old – and his animal familiar, Hobbes, an anthropomorphic toy tiger. In the strip, we follow Calvin's flights of fantasy and his magical interactions, a no man's land where his curiosity and imagination often get him into trouble.
